This Is Your Space

Therapy sessions should feel like the one place you don't have to manage anything: not your words, not the other person's reaction, not how you come across.

Just an honest conversation with someone who knows how to work with what you bring.

Sessions with me are warm, direct and focused.
I'll meet you wherever you are — and I'll work with you, actively and carefully, toward wherever you want to go.

You set the pace. I make sure we are actually moving.

In Person Therapy in Central Harrogate

If you are based in or around Harrogate, we can meet face to face in a private, comfortable therapy room in the centre of town. Many clients find that being physically present in a dedicated space helps them feel more grounded and contained in the work. Sessions are available on weekday afternoons/evenings and some daytime slots.

Online Therapy Across the UK

Online therapy is available to adults anywhere in the UK. Sessions take place via secure video call, from wherever feels most private and comfortable for you — whether that is your home, your car, or anywhere else you feel safe to talk. Appointments are available on weekday including in the evenings, making it possible to access therapy without disrupting your working day.

My Approach

A person holding a gray ceramic mug with black coffee sitting at a white table, with another person nearby and a closed book on the table beside them.

The relationship between us sits at the centre of everything I do

Most of the difficulties people bring to therapy didn't form in isolation. They formed in relationships — in how you were spoken to, held, seen or dismissed by the people who were supposed to care for you earliest. If that is where the wound formed, then a safe, honest and consistent relationship is often where healing takes place.

I am a relational integrative therapist. I do not follow a single fixed method. I draw on a range of approaches and tailor every session entirely around you and your needs.

I am warm, direct and compassionate.

I bring honesty, consistency and genuine care and investment to every session — and I work actively: you will know I'm in the room with you. I don’t sit, nod through the session and only repeat what you just said.

My goal is that you leave every session with something real: not just a vague sense of being heard — though that matters too — but a new way of seeing something, a connection you had not made before, a question worth sitting with.
Something that did not exist when you walked in.

My toolkit includes elements, concepts, theories and practices from:

  • Person-centred therapy,

  • Psychodynamic therapy,

  • Attachment-based therapy,

  • Transactional analysis.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy when it is what you need and want

  • Rewind Trauma Technique — a gentle approach effective within 1-3 sessions and it does not require you to describe traumatic events in detail if that’s how you wish to work on it
